HHS Swimming & Diving Program

Hi Everybody!

We will be taking pictures at swimming tomorrow for the program. If you have a team shirt from previous years, bring it with you. We will be taking a team picture, some by class and individuals, so we will have to be flexible during practice.

I have also attached an order form for ads in the program. Please ask anyone who might be interested if they would like to buy an ad. As you know, we are only partially funded by the school and pool time is expensive. The more ads we sell for the program, the more pool time we can buy!

Last Chance to Order Team Suits!

The deadline has been extended til Sunday. Click on the link to go to the store's website and place your order.

Everyone needs a team suit and cap. (For hygiene reasons, the school does not provide these.) They are similar to last year's, but are TYR instead of NIKE. See the Image Gallery for pictures of them.

Email list

An email went out Saturday night to everyone on the team and their parents. If you did not receive it, either I don't have your email, couldn't read your writing, or have a typo in it.

PLEASE email me if you did not receive it and should have. Be sure to include your name (or your swimmer's name) in the email.

Email is the primary means of communication between the coaches and the team. Without your email address, we will be unable to keep you informed of upcoming events, team dinners, bus schedules, meet results, SNOW DAYS, etc.

Forms!!!!

In case you missed them, here are the forms we need:

The first two (Official Name and Goal Sheet) you bring to me.

The rest (Parent-Guardian, Permission to Treat, Physical and Consent) you bring to Kim Davis at the Athletic Office with your $150 fee. Please do not bring them to practice. Kim will give me an updated list (almost daily) and you cannot practice until you have turned them all in and they are checked off ON HER LIST.

Team Suits!

Team suits are available through K & B Swim and Sport. The link is now active.

www.kbswimandsports.com/account/teamLogin.php

Log in or create an account and enter "Hanover HS" for the team.

If your suit and cap from last year are still good (not stretched out, loose, frayed, etc) you may use it this year also. Generally, if you wore it for practice, you will need a new one. If you only wore it for meets, it should still be good.

Everyone needs a cap, even the guys.

Orders close on Nov 18th.

2011-2012 Practice Schedule

Swimming starts Nov 14th! I'm looking forward to a great season with lots of new faces, including a new Assistant Coach, Michelle Kainen.

Tentative 2011-2012 Practice Schedule:

Evenings

Mon. 6:00 - 8:00
Tues. 7:00 - 8:45
Wed. 6:00 - 8:00
Thur. 7:00 - 8:45

Diving - TBA

Swimmers will be expected to attend all practices. (To reduce lane fees, swimmers may swim with another swim club for three of the practices but must come to at least one each week with the team. For regularly scheduled, academic conflicts, see Coach.)

Summer Swimming Opportunity at Storr's Pond

Hi Everyone!

Hope your school year is winding down to a successful close.

I wanted to pass on an opportunity (for anyone who has been missing the smell of chlorine in the morning) to practice at the Storr's Pond pool this summer. There will be a developmental team practice M-W-F from 8-9am from July 6- August 13. There are no try-outs or minimum qualifications for HHS swimmers. The cost is $200 for the full program (no refunds for unused time) and there is no requirement for a Storrs Pond membership. There will be an optional All-Comers meet on August 13.
